Sharon Desfor, FASA, is now Senior Advisor at HeliValue$, Inc., the world’s most trusted helicopter appraisal firm, and publisher of The Official Helicopter Blue Book®, the accepted standard for helicopter resale pricing information.

Sharon sold HeliValue$ to its current President, Jason Kmiecik, on January 1, 2023, and will stay on staff to consult, and to assist with appraisals, litigation support, and writing as needed until 2026.

Sharon is a member of the College of Fellows of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), the highest honor ASA bestows. The ASA College of Fellows is comprised of Accredited Senior Appraisers who have been recognized by their peers for their contributions to ASA and the appraisal profession. She is a past international president of ASA, who served on multiple committees and edited several publications for ASA such as the MTS Journal and Valuing Machinery & Equipment, 3^rd Edition.

Sharon is past Chair of the Helicopter Foundation International and of the Helicopter Association International’s (HAI) Finance & Leasing Committee, and edited HAI’s finance handbook, Helicopter Funding: Assembling the Pieces of the Puzzle.

Sharon has been a respected speaker and writer everywhere in the helicopter and aviation finance industries for decades.  She has given or published over 50 seminars, webinars and articles for more than twenty different organizations and publications.
